We are so excited to be implementing a wonderful physical education curriculum in our school. It is called SPARK PE. The program is designed to introduce children to physical fitness and also basic skills. Each class participates in a fitness activity each day, and then students engage in an activity designed for them to develop or practice a skill. Early childhood through 2nd grade have one curriculum with fun units such as parachute, chasing & fleeing, and kicking & dribbling. 3rd through 8th grade have an entirely different curriculum with more challenging units such as volleyball, basketball, jumping rope, hockey, and soccer. Children learn that physical fitness can be fun!
